Wing, Contour, Semiplume & Tail feathers.
These feathers were naturally molted out by a Regent Parrot who I rescued and then raised/nursed back to health.
In the wild, the Regent Parrot has two separate populations separated by the Nullarbor Plain: one in the Mallee regions of eastern Australia, and the other in the Wheatbelt region of southern Western Australia.
Eastern populations are endangered, while the western population is thought to be increasing.
Photographed usng a macro lens to pick up every single delicate detail.
To preserve your photograph we recommend that you frame behind glass/Acrylic in a mount, so the print does not touch the glass.
