This piece is part of a new series “Public Housing Plan for Birds” which explores birds in our urban areas.

The original concept is currently being displayed on the Newtown ArtSeat in Sydney, a permanent structure in Newtown Square that combines public seating, artwork display and lighting.

"These are the birds who live in the Inner-west.
When we cut down their trees and build on bushland, they are forced to move.
Imagine if we had a housing relocation initiative! Who would live where, who would like to be neighbours, who would be noisy?!

Alternatively we could plant up our suburbs and think twice about removing trees un-necessarily. Our home is their home".
