Cassowaries are found in the far north tropics of QLD. The Australian population of the Southern Cassowary has suffered a severe decline in numbers due to the destruction of their habitat, vehicle strikes, dog attacks and competition and predation by feral animals.

They are listed as endangered under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

This image is printed on special photo rag pearl paper (please read the additional info section), so turnaround is 7 working days.

As it is a more heavier art paper it is more expensive to print.

The image will be printed with a 2cm white border to fit onto your paper size, this is to ensure you have an area to hold the print as the black ink can be prone to fingerprints.

To preserve your photograph we recommend that you frame behind glass in a mount. so the print does not touch the glass.

25% of sales  from this print will go to Rainforest Rescue 'Save the Cassowary' project.

Save the Cassowary is a unique partnership between Rainforest Rescue, government organisations, business partners, Aboriginal Corporations, universities and 20+ zoos and other non-government organisations – to raise awareness of the plight of the Endangered Southern Cassowary and raise funds to help protect these rare creatures.

Rainforest Rescue has been protecting and restoring rainforests in Australia and internationally since 1999. They do this by purchasing properties of high conservation value rainforest and protecting their biodiversity. They also restore rainforest through planting, maintenance and weed removal.
