The Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo is one of Australia's largest parrots.
 
A small flock used to visit an exotic pine tree two doors down from my house, normally very early in the morning or as dusk was falling.  I felt they looked really surreal flying over our houses.
 
Unfortunately due to development, the neighbour cut the tree down and they haven't been back since. I miss them!
